1976 Postcard, Maine, USA

I found this card at the Goodwill Outlet store quite a few years ago - it was part of a collection of cards someone had given away.

I chose this card today because it is the only card I have from the US East Coast ... and my heart and prayers are with the millions of people of the this area who are preparing for, and dealing with, the wrath of Hurricane Irene. Even as I was preparing this post, I heard on the news that the eye has made landfall in North Carolina.

My thoughts and prayers also are going out to those from around the world who are facing natural disasters, and those who are recovering from natural disasters.
These are strange times indeed.

This is another Goodwill find from several years ago.
It makes me smile every time I look at it!

And don't you just love the "We love our RV" stamp on the top?

I'm not sure how I ended up with this card ... but I fell in love with the beautifully written message ... especially "take heart and wait".
