Dover Dam postcard

This is another postcard I picked up a while back at the thrift store. After being donated, sorted, thrown in a bin and pawed over for who-knows-how-long by who-knows-how-many-people it was folded, cracked and rumpled ... but it was mine!

"DOVER DAM, one of fourteen dams in the Muskingum Conservancy District, is located on Ohio Route No. 8 near Dover, Ohio. This dam, lying across the main channel of the Tuscarawas River, is the key dam in the system which controls the waters which pour eventually into the Muskingum River. The Muskingum Conservancy District covers about one-fifth of the total area of Ohio and is one of the greatest flood control systems in America. Its lakes afford beauty, fishing, and boating comparable to that found in any section of the United States."

  2. I've heard a lot about Hoover Dam lately! Some big case is being tried and there was a police check point near there. Nice to see what it actually looks like. (grin) Wonderful postcard, Sissy! ((hugs)) I miss you.
