"Grandson Le Chateau" - Happy PFF!

"Grandson Le Chateau"

Mailed in 1903 ... I am intrigued by the beautiful delicate writing.
I only wish I understood the language, I would love to know what was written here!

  3. Hi!
Beautiful card. It seems old postcards have beautiful hand writing on them. It's something that has gone by the way since the invention of computers. Have a great day!

  4. My father had the beautiful spencerian script. Gorgeous, but hard to read! Thanks for the memories. Happy PFF!

  5. I like the look of the old undivided backs with fancy handwriting for the address. It seems like this type of writing was mainly European.

  6. It's French but I can't read the writing very well. It's saying a thousand thanks for a letter which has been received with, I think, news of a new arrival, and it's signed "with friendly wishes to you both, Sister [something]" It sounds interesting!

  7. The first thing I thought when I saw the card was how lovely the handwriting is....it looks like I'm not alone in thinking that.

  9. I have a hard time reading old hand writing, elegant or not, even when it is in English!
