Postcard - White Sands

I've never been to the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.
I never pictured a desert as having flowers and trees!
But it does - and they are beautiful.

But I still think it is probably a little hot for me ...

  1. That's quite interesting. But I would stay in the northern part of US to be cool and warm, not feeling hot and sweaty all the time. LOL.

I love sending and receiving postcards. Mine is up - My PFF Entry. Thanks for sharing and Happy PFF!

  2. I've never been to New Mexico either, but I do have some First Day Covers that were postmarked in Taos. This is the first card I've seen from White Sands National Monument, although I know there's a military reservation somewhere in NM, perhaps a portion of the National Monument itself.

  3. I love sand dunes, and posted a postcard a while back of a painting of White Sands - if you're interested - http://aplethoraofpostcards.blogspot.com/2009/10/postcards-received-on-monday.html

  4. Beautiful postcard! I see why they call it White Sands. Disney has a film - about 50 years old now called The Living Desert. I watched it several times as a child - it shows what happens in a desert after a rain - with those cameras that show the buds forming and the flowers opening. Amazing!

  5. What a beautiful place. I don't do well in the heat, either! lol

  6. I've not been to as place with that type of climate. We get quite sufficient amounts of rain here, so generally it is very green.
