I save cards and letters ... I have boxes full of them. Most of the older cards I have were rescued from a dumpster several years ago, and have been in storage ever since. Others I find at the Goodwill Surplus store nearby (where I buy them by the pound, so they are nearly free).
It is time to liberate these treasures and share them with the world! I am especially interested in cards that have a personal touch, so I will include any and all writings that make these cards so fun. Many are still in their original envelopes, and I will include these as well, since they also tell their own stories.

- As life changes, I find myself far from what my dreams had imagined. Reality has found me caring for my elderly mom who is sliding deeper into Alzheimers ... every day has become a unique challenge. The best I can do is to try to life as normal as possible for those around me.
Wow, neither did I! This is a wonderful postcard, Sissy. I have always loved this style of drawing. It is Art Noveau. Exquisite!
ReplyDeleteNestle actually invented baby formula. I used to live in Italy and know that Nestle was actually the inventor of several food products including - I think - a form of evaporated milk.
ReplyDeleteWhen baby formula was first invented it was a "good thing" and saved the lives of many babies who didn't have access to breast milk.
Now, of course, there is much more controversy around the whole issue.
