1986 Postcard, Nestle's Food for Infants

Nestle's Food
For Infants

The original artwork was done in 1897.
The postcard was published in 1986.

I had no idea Nestle marketed baby milk products.

  1. Wow, neither did I! This is a wonderful postcard, Sissy. I have always loved this style of drawing. It is Art Noveau. Exquisite!

  2. Nestle actually invented baby formula. I used to live in Italy and know that Nestle was actually the inventor of several food products including - I think - a form of evaporated milk.
When baby formula was first invented it was a "good thing" and saved the lives of many babies who didn't have access to breast milk.
Now, of course, there is much more controversy around the whole issue.
